My Oxbridge co ordinator is an elitist faggot. As he says that MORSE is for the elites or some **** lol. He's a bit of a weirdo sometimes, forgive me if its not.
Is this the same person that told you to apply to Oxford? :beard:

Odd! I was under the impression that approx 50% of applicants get offers!

YES. I mean, i swear he thinks he knows it all. I speak to ACTUAL cambridge undergraduates and they tell me different, then when i tell my friends that some of what he says isn't exactly true, they laugh

The website says approximately 50% of applicants are invited to interview.. and apparently the interview isn't an interview, its a group thing where they say 'unless you're an axe murderer, you have an offer'.... so I'm hoping this means 50% applicationffer rate!

    I hope that isn't 4000 words?

Have you checked the line count? My PS is 47 lines but only 3597 characters.

Applicants per place is 5 (source is from 10/11 figures here, tables A1 and B1). So you won't see 90%+ getting an offer like in the Maths department, but yeah something like 50% sounds very reasonable, perhaps even more.

Can we smarten this thread up a bit? Maybe lists for each subject for who's applying?

I was going to suggest this earlier, but thought I'd wait till there were a few more people...

Besides, OP doesn't seem to be on the thread any more

*attemps to disguise glee at the thought of control*

Well, I'd be happy to, unless joshgoldman really wants to do it. What if the OP suddenly came back though?
