AS WJEC : Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes

In her poetry, Plath’s relationships with the opposite sex are always presented as destructive’’ How far can you agree with this statement and can it also be applied to Hughes?

Basically I haven't written a comparative poetry essay since GCSE and I don't really know how to start this off or what to include?

Can you possible help?

Thank you.

I don't have time to answer the actual question in your description but basically as a general rule; Don't have an opening(it wastes time and you don't get marks for it), pick your poems beforehand (15 min planning time), use relevant terminology (Assonance, Oxymoron, rhyme etc), describe on poem using A01, A02 and A03 and then compare it to another, then compare that to another etc etc. You can make one point and go to another poem and then go back to it but the examiner might miss things (it happens) so it's best to just make it as easy as possible for them tbh. Good luck!
