Ladies LGBT Introductory thread.
Firstly Hello everyone it's very nice to see you all here.

This is in H&R due to a problem with creating threads in other sections of the site. If a mod is reading this and despairing at the noobishness going on right now can you move it please (really sorry btw)
Right now that's out of the way, please feel free to introduce yourself here. Tell us your likes and dislikes, hobbies and the like.
Please no troll posts/ anti homosexual posts.
Thanks everyone and be sure to join the society

Re: Ladies LGBT Introductory thread.Maybe you should stop being anal and start a male gay thread if it offends you that much. Either thread is acceptable.(Original post by guitarmike456)
I'm not homophobic
but LADIES LGBT thread?
lesbian GAY bi transexual
maybe you should include men.... -
Re: Ladies LGBT Introductory thread. What's wrong with having both surely more places to post and be ourselves should be welcomed. I mean on LGBT sites you have men and women's chat rooms/forums.(Original post by there's too much love)
Why are you making a sex division in an LGTB thread:s.
You're subscribing to the very sex and gender norms that a hell of a lot of people in LGTB societies despise.
See queer theory. -

Because as you can see it embodies everything LGTB is supposed to be an escape from.(Original post by Dude Where's My Username)

Nice intellectual argument you put forward though, I will consider being less "anal" next time

Re: Ladies LGBT Introductory thread.I agree to an extent that the whole 'male' and 'female' divisions are very biased towards people who fit neatly in the LGB box; there is very little out there generally (and on TSR in particular) for people who are trans, agender, asexual, genderqueer etc. It would be nice to have a thread for people who didn't fit the binary gender. But if you identify as female and are sexually attracted to other people who identify as female, I guess it's nice to be able to find other people who feel the same way.(Original post by there's too much love)

To be honest I'm a massive imposter here as I'm genderqueer at most and identify as male on occasion
But I'm XX-bodied and identify as female for all practical purposes, so hi guys.

Re: Ladies LGBT Introductory thread.Surely thats a contradiction? So its ok to create a division between lgbt people and heterosexual people, but not for there to be a divisons within our own community.(Original post by guitarmike456)

If we all fit in the same box there should be no need for an LGBT society either!
I'm not trying to be petty or say there is no place for LGBT societies, I just disagree with your opinion. -

Feel free to make a male soc though
The group is in response to a few threads. And i'm a bit of a noob but when you search for groups pertaining to lgbt there aren't any results :/ -

Re: Ladies LGBT Introductory thread. You're arguing that this group is discriminatory. I'm asking how. Because it isn't. Especially if you recognise the fact there is already a gay community society thread that emcompasses all (non-hetero) sexual orientations.(Original post by guitarmike456)

The OP wanting to speak to like minded lesbians is no worse than a gay guy wanting to speak to like minded gay guys. It's no different frrom having Boy Scouts and Girl Browies. I just find people being overly PC a bit annoying. Can people not doing anything without offending at least one person anymore
But I'm not homophobic(Original post by Agent Smirnoff)
and it wasn't intentional!!................... ..............ok it was
It was a pun I couldn't resist. Sorry o:

Re: Ladies LGBT Introductory thread.I think you hit the nail on the head, I think consciously but definitely subtly. You removed the T. How can it be LGBT for ladies? The 'T challenges both sex and gender norms, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Either it's for anyone who doesn't agree with/subscribe to the patriarchal binary sex heterosexual regimes, or it's not.(Original post by kerily)
