realistically, what can I do to improve my chances?

So, I have sat my GCSEs last year and only managed Bs all across the board, no Cs or As. I'm now at sixth form doing my A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, Psychology and Philosophy.

I want to study medicine soooo bad unfortunately I only managed a good B in psychology as well as a C and D in Biology and Chemistry respectively in my January AS exams. I'm looking to re-sit biology and chemistry so i can hopefully pull them grades up to As as my practical work is decent.

However, do medicine schools generally accept re-sits within the two years or do they give less preference/reject etc? Also which subject should I look to drop next year in respect of what medicine schools prefer?

Any tips on how to boost my chances of getting in for Medicine or boost my grades would be welcomed :P
