Many congratulations. I'm very pleased for you and glad the persistence paid off. Soton was one of my daughter's offers, but she's chosen Leeds.
Good luck and I hope it's everything you've waited so
long for.

Re: 2012 Medicine Re-Applicants Mark IOfficially resigned from the hospital(Original post by Quackers93)
I finish at the nursery in two weeks

Edit: although finishing this week would be a lot nicer

Currently sunning it up in España ...just saying
I actually can't wait until September!!!
Already have my Littmann Classic SE II!
complete with name engraving- a leaving gift from my department btw, I definitely wouldn't have bought one this early
Does anyone agree that buying one now would feel too pretentious? Or do we actually need one in 1st year?Last edited by FunsizedKarateGeek; 10-08-2012 at 22:06. -

I can't wait either! I suppose though none of us can
When do you start?

Re: 2012 Medicine Re-Applicants Mark IYay! What medical school are you going to? I'm so happy for you, you took such a risk and I'm glad that it has paid off for you!(Original post by futuredoc77)
I did indeed. Aww man, that's not good! You must give it another try, grad maybe?
Maybe, it depends on what results I get during second year. I will also need to apply for work experience and voluntary placements

Honestly, I haven't even arrived yet and it feels like Peninsula is perfect for me!

then again i guess you tend to feel attracted to any medical school that gives you an offer
SO AM I!!

8th is pretty early - do you get a fresher's fortnight or just a week?
Don't you feel like you appreciate your place so much more this year than if you'd had one last year?? - not that I would have taken it for granted last year but I just feel so much more prepared and actually ready to work..
If that makes sense lol.. -

It's just a week but I think it's cause they've changed when they're exams are (now pre-Christmas) so have to start earlier to cram everything in the first semester. But at least I'll get to enjoy my Christmas holiday revision free
Yeah totally! I feel like I've earned it! Well not 'earned' as such but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say
But yes! I do feel ready to properly go for it now after having a nice but tiring year off. I'm ready to learn!
Med school come at me bro!
