    Yep.

Although it says the portal isn't supported in evenings and weekends.
My girlfriend (who is at UCL) tells me that Portico is pretty unreliable, so it's no surprise

Any idea whether this signifies how far along they are in assessing your application? I've been waiting nearly 4 weeks.

I got access to the portal about 1/2 days after applying.

Don't think there is any definitive time frame. When they decide you will know

Anyone who has completed an application (with references submitted) for postgraduate study at UCL should have access to portico (with your email address and password used for the application). Once logged in, you can check the status of your application and even view the application that you submitted (in PDF format). What's more, you can see and read the references provided by your referees (again, refer to the PDF of your submitted application). Once made an offer, conditional or unconditional, you can accept it online through portico as well.

A paltry £2,000 rise in the fees for the course I've applied for.

What the ****. I understand that there are shortfalls to make up for with lack of gvt funding for UG students, but really?! Skimping at UG for the past 3 years looks to be continuing at PG level, too.

Yeah, my course has gone up by £2k as well. I've already contacted a government based careers advice place, and they say they haven't heard any news about the career development loan being increased to make up for it. It's a right pain - if your course fees are nearly £8k and the maximum CDL loan is £10k, a lot of people coming straight from their undergraduate degrees won't be able to afford a postgrad.

Same thing is happening to me! I've been waiting for my 2nd referee to upload the reference. Best thing is to wait a little longer and then click 'resend' so it alerts them again!

I would ask to make sure he has received the request - or just email him saying that you've applied, and if he could keep an eye out for the email as it can go into the junk email folder automatically.

I'm planning on applying for Museum Studies.
Although I feel really behind now - I've not started my PS, and am still trying to sort out referees :/

Got an offer too. It is amazing that you can read your references! Now I am pretty much sure I will receive offers from everywhere I applied to.

Edit: What is surprising is that you can read the references of people who checked the 'Do not allow applicants to see the references' box. On the other hand, the references form explicitly says that the data protection act allows applicants to request a copy of the references.

So after you have an offer you can see your references?
I got an offer from Birkbeck. Do you know how can I track my application form? the offer came as a letter. I do not know how to track my form in that system..

So how exactly do you view your references on Portico?

Both of my referees just submitted their references this morning.

My referees let me read my references

I'm still waiting for my 2nd referee to submit my UCL reference :colonhash:

Congrats on your offer from Birbeck!
