Change of address online

I just tried to submit the on-line application for the change of address in my driving license. People advised me to use the site:

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Motoringtransactions/BeforeyouapplyC/DG_066944

I tried many times (after 11pm), but could not get through. After a few steps, the system said: Please call the helpdesk and speak to one of our advisers who will be able to help you. How to contact the helpdesk. Telephone: 0300 123 0815.

It is annoying as I took a long time to go through many steps, but failed to continue.

Do you have the same experience? What should I do?

Phone them? Talking to a person is sometimes easier than relying on technology.

Anyone got an idea?

I just called DVLA (0300 123 0815) and got the address changed over the telephone.

This might be a good experience for many others, as sometimes the system cannot allow people to submit the application online.

So you ignored me and then found phoning them works. Nice one
