guessing so far....

graph of potential energy against distance.

graph in background = solar flare

proton + proton collision, energy require to overcome coulomb barrier

however, straight line indicates quantum tunneling.

STUCK!

Woah! That sounds bit to far lol

Perhaps this question is to do with nucleur fusion?

Anyone know how to do the gold question yet?

Want value have you got?

I keep getting numbers with powers
I'm still stuck on silver, I cannot find anything in common with all of them.
It must be less than one since it says Hartree, not hartrees. I think fusion may be good since it looks like a graph of the strong nuclear force

That was another lead I had. The picture sure does look like a solar flare though - good call PhysicsN

So do I! None of them are right though so perhaps I'm on the wrong track. Do you keep getting values in standard form?

yeah. powers of 21 lol :/
If anyone has it please say because now its just giving crazy ideas(gold)
same here. if anyone knows gold, please message me or something
Can somebody please message me some ideas for silver?
I'm still stuck despite many google searches.
me too message me gold please, need to read the explanation to put my mind at rest :P
Should the answer for gold be somewhere about 0.71 Hartree? It seems to make a ton of sense, but it just wont go in.
Any ideas on Rg, if anyone's on it? :frown:
message me gold and i'll be able to help :P at least give me a clue, i've hit rock bottom in terms of leads.

I have a feeling that is correct for the full distance to the bottom of the curve but the line suggests to be that we need to be doing some sort of minus calculation as well. I'm probably wrong but that is what I think
ew gold is annoying

i don't like it :frown: i just have no leads whatsoever. they were all wrong.
