Re: Cambridge Chemistry Challengedo you know what the 2 purple atoms in the structure are?(Original post by Emissionspectra)
I cant even do the entry question
Im getting almost purple but cant work it out =/ -
Re: Cambridge Chemistry ChallengeI did it im on silver but have no idea what the reaction even is(Original post by CM23925)
do you know what the 2 purple atoms in the structure are? -
Re: Cambridge Chemistry Challengeyou don't need to, search for the reaction involving those reagents(Original post by Emissionspectra)

Re: Cambridge Chemistry Challengeyeah but i thought it may help me to work out who its named after(Original post by CM23925)
you don't need to, search for the reaction involving those reagents -
Re: Cambridge Chemistry Challengeyeah but if you already knew what the reaction was you wouldn't need to think about the question. the point is you have to work/find out what the reaction is. and i just told you how ^(Original post by Emissionspectra)
yeah but i thought it may help me to work out who its named after -
Re: Cambridge Chemistry Challenge[EtOH] = concentration of ethanol in the wine(Original post by dream_merchant)
Can anyone give me a hint for the second?
find the density of ethanol on the internet
then use the equation density=mass/volume
as 13.5% , so 135cm3 of C2H5OH in 1dm3 of wine
and then work out the mass of the ethanol
then finally work out the concentration!
hope this help !

Re: Cambridge Chemistry ChallengeAhh, so your finding the concentration of ethanol.. No wonder ive been confused, been doing everything right but been finding the moles :/ Silly me(Original post by gwengwen)

Re: Cambridge Chemistry ChallengeApparently not... because the answer i put down isnt correct(Original post by CM23925)
do you know what the 2 purple atoms in the structure are?
Only knew it existed about a week into may and stopped for exams for most of it
