Is it just me or is anyone else phased by the number of halls to choose from? I can't get my bearings on the campus as to be honest, didn't really pay attention at the interview tour really, didn't think my interview went that well. -

Actually I am a mom f a nw (successful ( yay!!!![) bsms applicant ( with offers!) he as firmed BSMS and is sooooooooooo happy and excited. He doesnt know his mom has been trawling TSR and i will bein BIG trouble if he ever finds out hut hey! Just wanted to wish you good luck and say tamk ou forvyour knd responses when i was down I am wondering why exec is now banned when he had so many helpful things o not ute to this site. Anyway. Although, there is still a possibility that more offers might come out - very very soon as the deadline is fast approaching - this is very unlikely.
As positive as you may want to look at it, if you have been rejected, you will most probably stay that way unfortunately.
Just a sort of thumb statistic, unis make about 15% more offers than they have places. The offers given out from the post interview hold list were probably enough just to fill that 15% bracket, if say they were to rejected everyone from the list they would most likely still have more than enough offers per place anyway. Which is why it is almost impossible to get an offer after being rejected.
Sorry, if I didn't keep your hopes up. Just trying to be realistic. I know how tough it is to be rejected, was there last year with 4 rejections.

Re: BSMS Medicine Applicants 2012hmmm are you applying for 2013 entry? because it may have changed by then so I would double check with the website and admissions before you apply but I think they do look at AS results and use them along with your GCSE's and personal statement, I put mine on my UCAS.(Original post by mollie.harris)

I would like to know if BSMS look at your AS results or they just look at your predicted grades of AAAA and make up their minds. Anyone?

Re: BSMS Medicine Applicants 2012They won't be able to see your modular grades (unless you specifically put them onto UCAS, which isn't required) but if they require your AS grades then you just have to put your final AS grades onto your UCAS e.g A or B etc not the ums from January and the summer and they also look at predicted grades. Don't worry, I didn't get straight A's at AS and I applied anyway because they look at other stuff too however quite a lot of other universities don't look as AS grades at all such as Leeds.(Original post by mollie.harris)

Re: BSMS Medicine Applicants 2012No mollie, not at all, (unless this has changed greatly over last few years, i'm a bit out of date) but at any rate when I applied the rumour was that if you had less good AS results but your school were going to predict you higher grades anyway then you were better off not cashing in the results.(Original post by mollie.harris)

At any rate, I don't think you will discriminated for not cashing in results because quite a few schools don't and medical schools know this is often not the applicants choice. -
