Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadSeems like it. They're in a league of their own. Unless all the other teams were testing out various parts. etc. setups(Original post by IrrationalNumber)
There's going to be no competition for red bull all season at this rate. -
Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadHaha, well I didn't read all the thread :P(Original post by MHorman)
I beat you to the HRT wing story but i do often spam the thread up with posts to about 4 different stories in...
2nd one is interesting though but i definately see HRT not qualifying for this race. The amount of downforce needed for large portions of this track is high and the HRT just doesn't have it.
HOPING the lotus/virgin car qualify but that will depend on how the fast guys run during qualifying mnore than anything else... If Red Bull have soft tyres to burn from wet running in other sessions then there's no chance...
Will be interesting to see the comparable times in the wet. I be thinking that lotus will be closer to the midfield teams for some unknown reason...
Yeah, the second one is interesting, I really hoped HRT were going to do well this season but at the moment it's a bit doubtful.
I think HRT need to sort out why Liuzzi's car keeps cutting out, hopefully they will have it sorted but I'm starting to think they're not going to qualify again this race
Red Bull appear to be uncatchable at the moment, hope this keeps up...would be nice to have either Mark or Seb on the podium again this race

Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadAt the current pace of the fast guys compared to kartikeyan he would be inside the 107% rule so maybe they will qualify...(Original post by Magic_)

Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadWell that's good news...I don't know how to work out the 107% rule(Original post by MHorman)

Hopefully that Karthikeyan can be within the 107% tomorrow. It'd be nice to see both Hispana's within but with Liuzzi's car problem, that doesn't seem likely at the moment. Having said that, he may not have that problem tomorrow...who knows
I guess it all depends on the weather there tomorrow and Sunday

Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadTake the time of the fastest guy in seconds. 96.9 atm, then multiply it by 1.07 using a calculator which gives 103.7 which is 1 min 43.7 and karikeyan has done a 43.1 so he's safe...(Original post by Magic_)

HRT will be able to use that data as mitigating evidence if they fail to qualify tomorrow for some reason... -

Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadIf ever f1 gets you down, just remember that every cloud has a silver lining. Specifically, you aren't working for hispania.
Unless of course you decide to change jobs and work for hispania, in which case you aren't likely to be getting any silver linings anytime soon. -
Re: Malaysian Grand Prix threadFP3 starts at 6am, but the show will begin airing at 5.55am.(Original post by Right Guard 3.D)
Just to make sure, tomorrow:
Is P3- 6-7am
and
qualifying- 9-10am
?
Is there any sort of show before qualifying like there was at Melbourne when the show started at 5 and qualifying at 6?
Thanks
Quali airs at 8am, but the actual qualifying sessions will begin at 9am.
Cannot wait for Q3. Should be very close at the front, as its most likely going to be a wet quali. I hope its not one of those wet qualis where last man across the line will most likely take pole though.
I think Lewis will qualify P2 again, and hopefully Jenson in P3!
