Man U v Liverpool is going to be funny, he is going to be so bias! If we lose it will be like Summerbee all over!

Gary Neville?!

I would've much preferred Dean Windass.

Tbf, at least he won't be backwards about being forwards.

Voice might grate for some [ie, anyone who lives below Watford] but he knows his stuff, as biased as it maybe. He'll take a while to get used to it, but I reckon he could do a pretty decent job.

I find Gary Neville quite enlightening and articulate as footballers go. But he does have a dull voice. Alan Smith (the elder) suffers from a similar dichotomy.

His voice grates for everyone above Watford too.

I think it's a ****ing stupid idea personally.

Basically this. The man is an absolute rat, horrendously biased...how can he possibly be expected to give any sort of objective commentary? I know most pundits are linked to some clubs but they are still mostly impartial: I can't see gneville doing this.

People in Watford aren't keen on him either, I've heard.
Doesn't strike me as a fence-sitter. A commentator who speaks his mind, just what people need or should want.

i do not want to hear gary neville's voice in FIFA! That is all!
This is fantastic news. :adore:

It doesn't make sense. He's sooo disliked by non-Man U fans its unreal.

Don't get the fuss really. Gary just fits in nicely with all the other ex footballers who are far more biased and annoying than him such as Dean Windass, Paul Merson, Jamie Rednapp and managers such as Ian Dowie.
As long as it's not a s*** like Jamie Carragher (who doesn't even speak properly...)
