You can go higher. I got just over £204,000, and I chose the monthly figures over the total costs.

Remember guys - THIS IS NOT THE EXAM. The data sources and figures will BE TOTALLY DIFFERENT: aka, the solution you find NOW WILL NOT WORK in the exam. Just keep playing around and experimenting; that's the best practice that can be done for the exam.

Keep up the hard work guys, and remember that nested IF:
=IF(Values!B7="Yes",IF(Values!B21="Yes",Advertising!B7,0),0)

Come on guys, of course they wouldn't give us the actual data, it would make it too easy! I managed to finish the spreadsheet after a couple of practices in under 10 minutes, and its a 2 hour 30 minute exam! The reason they give us a lot of time is to enable us to play around with the things on the Values table to find a proper solution. Although i'm still quite sure it won't be too hard, 2 things i've gathered are that £200,000 profit should be the target and that 4 areas and 2 advertisements should be the target, although I may be wrong about the latter.

Anyone doing ICT & have a teacher that doesn't do anything.. Read on! ( this ain't defiante but most likely to be what's on the exam..
Scenario: Kornish Kraftz

Activity 1: summarise current situation & list key facts to the problem you need to solve.. (basically outline main facts in bullet points).
outline decisions you need to make..
Assumptions you are making..

Activity 2: evaluate source that have been used..
Why data could lead to inaccuries within the model...
the factors that haven't been takn into account..

Activity 3: Basically once imported the data you have to add a IF & And formula on the advertising page.. this would be for all possible shops & advertise type chosen! You must then to find totals revenue & cost you sum up the bottom of all months in values sheet! (you should practise doing it around 3-4times!

Activity 4: most likely there going to ask you to write a report based on recommending model for expansion using figures & graphs from spreadsheet...
(this would mention shops you've used, why you used them - ratings, show a graph of total cost & profits, which adverising method you would want to use..

Wow that's a lot of info .. Hope it helps everyone & best of luck in your exams! x

Don't you need some $ in there to make it easy to paste it?

So...

=IF(Values!$B7="Yes",IF(Values!B$21="Yes",Advertising!B7,0),0)

And surely the AND has the same effect?

=IF(AND(Values!$B7="Yes",Values!B$21="Yes"),B7,0)

Which would you suggest is neatest and best to use in the exam?
