ICT, The Misery Of It

My school uses OCR for ICT.
And there's up to 4 GCSEs for ICT available.
I wanted to do 4 at first in year 10.
At the start, it was so easy to get Distinction.
But now OCR have decided to mess everything up and decide that even though you do exactly what the mark sheet says, you still get a U.
The moderator came in and decided that the EVERYONE's work was wrong.
They added more work and said that there was too much work in my folder.
I had screenshots of everything to prove that I did it, in other words, I overworked.
And they refused to mark it.
Now next month is the deadline.
I'm currently on Merit now and my stupid teacher is forcing me to do two GCSEs after I gave up on four.
I would go for merit if I could only do one but apparently if you get Distinction in once GCSE but fail the second one, it's a fail overall.
I HATE THIS CRAP.
Why is OCR saying this now?
I've done EXACTLY what they said, no, actually I've done MORE.
The moderator is probably too lazy to mark the work and OCR is probably changing things now so there are more fails and as a result, less to mark.
My teacher could give me a distinction one week, then next week he would say "By the way, your work is wrong".
This has happened since year 10, work gets marked right, then it's wrong.

Can anyone relate to this at all, or is it just my school?

Same sorta thing happened with me. You just have to deal with it I'm afraid =/

Apparantly many moderators are losing their job, so that's why their doing these things; to make them seem like they're needed, so that they don't lose their job.

That's one the flaws of btec.

You should blame your teacher as he/she creates the syllabus

BTEC?
It's GCSE level.
My ICT teacher told me that last year, there was a moderator that let almost anything slip.
I hate ICT so much now, I regret choosing it for A Level.

Btec is equivalent to two GCSE's and Diploma is equivalent to four.

There is no such thing as one GCSE that's worth 4.

Your ICT teacher lied to you.

The moderator cannot change sht throughout the year.

Make things a bit smaller and hand it back unless he counted every page :s If not threaten to contact the exam board or something!

lol, that's nice!
But seriously, I worked hard in year 10 for ICT, I spent hours after school to do ICT work, and now everything is changed.
Slightly frustrating.

At our skwl were doin the same thing, im working towards 3 distinctions, and that its sooooo boring... we dont actually learn anythin new just proving wot we already no such as proving how to rename a file :angry:
