i dont think it's related to the matter of whether or not you are an international student, I am classified as an international student and i got an offer from them without having to attend an interview or posting them my portfolio.

Have you taken art for Alevels?
Am an international student. No, am not taking A Levels Art, I guess that's why they ask for a portfolio

BTW, congrats for all those who got offers!

I'm also applying to Edinburgh, but I haven't received anything apart from an acknowledgement letter. I sent off my application on the 8-th November.

    Are you an international student?
    Yep.

Has anyone received a portfolio request from Sheffield yet? I'm really confused about the layout since the email states that only '10 images' are allowed to be included....also do we only need to annoate all of these 10 images or just the street task? Cheers

Just wondering... has anyone else not received an email from Cardiff University requesting Portfolio? i sent my application in on Nov 16th.
I think Cardiff does portfolios in 3 rounds. I send my application on October 15th so went in the first round. Had to have my portfolio in my the beginning of November if I remember rightly. But in one of the emails it said they do requests at three points throughout the year, so I'd say you'll be in the next round. Cardiff request portfolios from all their applicants. Just more waiting I'm affraid.

Also time for an update on the overall application:
Cambridge: Had my interview yesterday. Just waiting now.
    Sheffield: Portfolio sent.
    Cardiff: Portfolio sent.
    Brighton: Conditional offer. 36 Points.
    Portsmouth: Conditional offer. 29 Points.

Can any home students applying for Manchester tell me how long it takes for them to reply after you've sent your portfolio? Haven't had any replies yet, so I assume they don't give acknowledgements after they've received it right?

    Also TBasi congrats!

Plymouth (Insurance) - Offer of 320 Points
Brookes (First Choice) - Had interview on the 30th of November (current students there said response takes 2 weeks)
Liverpool - Have to send Portfolio between January-March 2012
Nottingham - Waiting until January 15th to decide
    Nottingham Trent - ^

    - Doing A2 Photography, Geography and Biology (did AS Product Design last year), predicted A*AB (Got ABCb at AS)
    - Also doing AS Art, General Studies and Extended Project Qualification this year (Predicted ABA)

    - At my Brookes interview, the guy seemed most interested in the EPQ work and my photography, he flicked through my sketches and paintings and even said that I should forget about painting and do more sketching in preparation for the course

If you mean Brookes, no I didn't, just an email saying that the Uni would be open as usual on the strike day (day of interview!)

I sent my application on the 17th and I got my portfolio request at the beginning of last week.. :/ Are you an international student?

They said that on the website but when I emailed them to confirm that was what I was meant to do, the admissions secretary said that I had to wait for the portfolio request email..

Thanks! I'm so pleased as it's my first offer! I sent mine on the 24th November so it's been just under 2 weeks, and no they didn't give acknowledgements. When did you send yours?

Thanks for the reply - that's quite a while actually. Congrats on the offer too! Guess I have a little more waiting to be done...

I sent mine on Sunday night, so technically Monday? It seems like it'd be roughly 2 weeks before they reply, so thanks! Can't say I'm entirely confident with my portfolio though.

It's tomorrow! Ah so scared! How do you think yours went? And which college did you apply to?
Ohhh how did it go? I really have no idea how mine went, the interviewers really didn't give much away at all, there were a couple of questions i struggled with but i didnt think it was a complete disaster :P Clare, you?
