You have to be prepared to travel abroad if you want a good job in Geology. My uncle is a geologist (ex- Bristol) and has worked all over the world. He is very well paid now and works in Oz. He says there are lots of opportunities for geologists over there - particularly in mining geology.
Hoping to do Earth Systems Science Bsc at Leeds come September if all goes to plan..... :biggrin:

im studying geoscience at St Andrews :smile: Cant wait! (to play golf)
is anyone on here going to portsmouth to do one of the geology courses as i have just finished there and have a number of textbooks to sell before i emigrate to oz in a couple of weeks, all in gd condition. u dont have to be going to pompey but let me know if u need any books.
