Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIAs a general rule, tie always darker than the shirt, but fair enough for doing things your own way. Like the boots.(Original post by Profesh)
The tie and boots are actually a good deal more understated than you might expect from the photograph: I had to adjust for inadequate lighting, unfortunately. Although I will admit something of a penchant for... vibrant hues. -
Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IISorry, I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic. If not, to be clear: it's the colours/fabrics I have a problem with. No problems with shirts, ties and jackets. But now that we're on the subject, I definitely prefer ties with suits, not otherwise. I say if the occasional doesn't require a suit, it doesn't require a tie.(Original post by Profesh)

(As above.)
You're quite welcome. But riddle me this: why would I want to attract someone who arbitrarily dislikes shirts, ties and jackets? Or for that matter; the colours purple, red and brown?

Agree with you here, the boots look fantastic in the photo but not great in the link.

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIBeing ginger, I find it sets off my (already rather outlandish) complexion. But you're right: I wouldn't necessarily recommend anyone else to follow suit. Unless they happened to be Jonathan Ross.(Original post by Pendulum)

Well, either way I'd probably have to insist on at least one patterned garment.(Original post by py0alb)
I just think that shirt isn't the kind of shirt that goes well with a tie. Without the tie it would look good, or with a plain shirt it would look ok as well.Last edited by Profesh; 11-05-2012 at 00:42. -
Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread II
I swear to jesus I am getting sick of this weather, I don't know from day to day if I should dress warmly or lightly. Although being in the midst of the flu and exams mean I've mostly been wearing pyjamas and blanket, moving to jeans and hoodies when I do actually leave the flat for exams or snacks.
I am going to be wearing so much linen when it gets hot though. Makes me glad I have a clothes steamer

New Our Legacy drops are looking good http://www.ourlegacy.se/
One of my favourite brands, would recommend it for anyone trying to move away from the overdone topman/river island/high street styles. Not cheap but definitely worth the dollar. -
Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIProblem is, some of their plain tees are around 100 quid, which is rip off pricing really and difficult to justify spending so much on.(Original post by Hello oh)

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIWhich ones? The perfect tee's which are around £60 usually go to sale. The shirts are OL's forte and definitely worth the price tag. Do you have any of their items? hard to say if something is a rip off if you can't comment on the quality.(Original post by RedTiger)

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIWell quality can only get SO good, anything after that and the price is hypothetically a rip off. £100 for a plain tee is steep, even by my standards.(Original post by Hello oh)

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread II
I have got no shirts I like so I want to buy loads of T-Shirts for the Summer (if there even is one). I have been looking around and I have struggled to find just 1 I like - let alone 5 or 6!!!
I am looking for some graphic/printed tee's but I don't want the massive over the top drawing of florida, new york etc (they seem to be popular at the moment in topman etc). I am just looking for a shirt with something small printed on it and the majority of the shirt is white (i don't mind the background being a different colour). Anyone got any links? -

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIThere was a pair of bog standard trackie b's there for over £100. lol. They probably bought them from primark for a fiver and put a 20000% markup on them for idiots.(Original post by RedTiger)

Some people do really have more money than sense.
