Re: Made in ChelseaExactly as I expected then... Apart from those names, the only other place I've heard the name "Binky" is in Rugrats I think ha. Glad I didn't stick around to watch it :P(Original post by Troubled_Student)
It's so, so bad. The names are ridiculous - Funda, Caggie, Binky being the culprits. All the guys are practically gay, so much so I thought one was gay even when he was having a meal with his girlfriend. It's just generally terrible and a copy of TOWIE, with one of these already having a girlfriend but a separate love interest.

Re: Made in ChelseaHis name doesn't matter, we'll just call him ***** Chops.(Original post by tigermoth99)
Who was that guy who said 'big hair is out'? he looked like an eighties android

Re: Made in ChelseaI think I read that Frederik is half Norwegian, or something like that - a country around that way. So I suppose he has excuse, so does Funda, but Binky and Caggie. Bitch please I don't care if they are nicknames.(Original post by lukejoshjedi)
Hugo's funny, Spencer seems kinda normal... but Amber I already can't stand her
I like Milly
And yeah I always find it weird that the rich upper class wealthy people have the most weird, out there names. Caggie... Fredrik

Re: Made in ChelseaAgreed! Pahahaha!(Original post by AN0N)
Can we just take a moment to
at the fact that one of the girls thought Charles Dickens wrote Winnie the Pooh?!!
Also Ceska and Binky were on My Super Sweet World Class - I was so pleased I recognised them!... until I realised how sad it was that I did

Re: Made in ChelseaI agree, and this video made me lol http://www.e4.com/video/3edL4EjQnL5L1OrXykNl5/play.e4(Original post by gingerrama)
Hate to say it but if Ollie cut his hair and stopped wearing makeup/fake tan/ridiculous clothes he'd be really hot. -
Re: Made in Chelsea
erm. Curiosity got the better of me. Ten minutes in, well... I don't really see how this can be considered reality TV. It all seems a little contrived. They seem to think that conspicuous consumption equates to success. I'm not too sure why exactly everyone is calling them stupid, though I've been watching only a short time. They just appear rather eccentric. The effects of incest beginning to manifest perhaps.

Re: Made in ChelseaHAHA! The guy (Mark) used to be on my uni course (History of Art, no surprises there). He would come into lectures carrying a Louis Vuitton File and wearing a Ralph Lauren suit. He mysteriously disappeared after first year though, clearly thought uni was a waste of time for him!(Original post by tieyourmotherdown)
Amazing. There is no limit to the amount of times I could watch that clip. -
Re: Made in ChelseaPossibly the most annoying person EVER, but it is hilarious!(Original post by tieyourmotherdown)

Re: Made in ChelseaHe's half Icelandic and seeing as Fredrik is far from being an Icelandic name I don't think he makes the cut for an excuse :P(Original post by Troubled_Student)

Re: Made in Chelseathis(Original post by Troubled_Student)
That Caggie is horrific, her laugh
Amber is even worse, and what's with this long hair on the guys? Some of the girls aren't bad, although I don't know their names.
and this(Original post by The_Male_Melons)
I know what you mean. The weird one. lool.
Spencer is not with Caggie- you mean curly watts?
Essex>Chelsea.
I made the mistake of watching it on 4od (curiosity got the better of me) At least the essex people are more genuine in their own ditzy way. I don't know why but I warm to those tangy orange bimbos more than these self-obsessed rich kids.
I thought spencer was aight until the camera panned out and he was having a fuking portrait made with a globe in his palm WTF

lool too true.
They are socialites that rely on "mummy's and daddy's money". They don't even have jobs.

Re: Made in ChelseaI heard rahs at my uni defending them because they 'ran businesses/worked hard/wrote blogs'(Original post by The_Male_Melons)

The diamond miner guy = inherited **** and clearly no 'mining' or frontline is actually involved in his job, he starts off at the very comfortable position in an office.
The jewelry woman = designs jewelry...does she mine the gold, mould and create it herself? I doubt it. What does she need to kick start that business? A cash injection and access to a bunch of idiots/posh rich people who will buy it, both of whivh her privilaged background and parents can provide her with.
it's unfair because I know people from working/under class who work their asses off and no matter what they do/how hard they try these people will most likely be better off than them. I have a friend who graduated with a first in physics from Edinburgh and another with 2.2 in media information and the latter got a £30,000 p/a job at one of their dads mates offices in london (stock analysis department). I know this is not always the case but it does make you realise that success depends on more than just brains. Opportunity has so much to do with it. Of course it wasn't the posh friends fault but it's no competition if you are applying for graduate jobs in a random place along with hundreds of other applicants and when you have a connection who can set you up.
Our society creates an aim for all its citizens and that is to be successful so that your legacy lives on and your kids can also be successful and continue the wealth/knowledge/nurturing/opportunity etc to your future decendors.
Anyone I know with humble beginings who has 'made it' it now has posh rahh kids who have been brought up very differently from their parents and will lead a different life and (it is hoped) live comfortably and in wealth. We want what's best for ourselves and our kids but I do believe those chelsea brats are mostly products of people who have been given the opportunity to become successful and treat their kids.
Atleast with essex most of them are self made men/women. Their rents brought them up and they found what they were good at (promoting and stripping) and live off those kind if assets unlike the chelsea bunch.
I rambled a lot. Sorry if you actually read through it all x
