Not sure whether this is what you're looking for, but this site might be useful: http://www.georgetown.edu/faculty/irvinem/theory/pomo.html
It depends on the context of what you want- a straight definition? Examples and so on? Hope the link helps a little

I dunno, in terms of architecture it was a rebellion against the modernist philosophy. It was quirky, bright, unique, at times ornate and ecclectic with the styles it encompasses. Moderns said 'less is more' and 'form follows function', post moderns said 'less is a bore' and contradicted rationalism.
My definition of postmodernism in history: bullsh*t.
Basically, it is (as far as I can remember!) saying that no source can be trusted at all- not primary, secondary, or anything- because they're all biased through the author's opinion.

The next stage is saying that there is no meaning outside what is explicitly tated in a 'text'- for example, it is wrong to read anythig into a source from the provenance because that's applying your own values to the source.
