I wanted to make one, but didn't want to mess it up or anything so ended up opting out :P

Predictions? I think this is tough to predict since we don't know what updates teams will have and how they will affect the cars.

I am able to watch P2 at college, P3 and Quali but miss the race for work :/

Does anyone know if I record one Quali/GP will it go to series record on Sky+?

Someone had to make one and i'd never done it before but went for it anyway as it's stupidly close to race time... Didn't grab the other info but i got all the session times in the OP so that's the important stuff.

    My predictions will be
    Vettel
    Hamilton
    Webber
    Button

Same for qualifying/race with WEbber having fastest lap in the race again...

I think it does go onto series link if you hit green but you may as well spend the extra 10 seconds to just go hit record on the race as well...

    Also: DRS Zone confirmed...

    And pre race intro stuff...

Looks like rain for all 3 days...

    Finally the new thread! lol

    I predict a Vettel win.

As for Ferrari, the good thing is they're actually being aggressive for once and bringing in a lot of new parts to this race.
The bad thing is, as with everything so far this season they can't seem to translate that development into performance.

Watched last year's race on the red button, I forgot just how entertaining the race was. This is a great track, it's a shame it has to be in Turkey where there isn't that much of an F1 presence or any glamour but the racing is top notch!

Personally I share Webber's view, not a fan of the overtaking with tyre differences because it becomes way too easy. Webber and Hamilton's performance in China came across as an arcade game on easy mode, the drivers being overtaken looked like sitting ducks. The way Hamilton overtook Vettel it was as if he's overtaking a HRT, the approaching speed was ridiculous. It becomes a care of new tyres vs old tyres rather than team vs team or driver vs driver.

I want to see a competition between two great engineered cars with two highly skilled drivers, not between the tyres of Pirelli :shifty:

Looking at last year's race that had great racing, without all the gimmicks of this year. Imo the DRS alone is ideal, gives you just enough to make a move.

Would like to have seen the DRS zone start a few meters earlier, but it'll work. I'm wondering if the detection zone is in the braking area for the corner? If so, late breaking to get in the zone, poor corner speed but DRS to make the pass in to the final couple of corners.

Petrov told my boyfriend that he likes the track and that he thinks he would've had a good result last year if it wasn't for Alonso, so hopefully that means lots more points for LRGP this weekend (and thus more bonus for me!). I can't put the translation of what he said about Alonso here...!

Can't wait, feels like we've had a whole winter break since the last race! Vettel to win, Hamilton to come a close 2nd.

    Watching FP1...

    WEt conditions maybe intermediates...

Vettel out on intermediates and hits the kerb on the end of turn 8 and flies into the wall at some pace, easily 160+ and has done some nice damage to his car and the session has been red flagged.

Finally an F1 weekend where I will get a bit of a lie in!!

Looks like Vettel may not be as dominant this weekend now.

Vettel missed out on all of FP2 due to car damage...

So far this weekend he's had 0 dry running and they're prediciting a dry race now...

My prediction for Vettel is sliding down now but he's done stuff before where he's only had a few runs and still nailed in epic laps...

Also, new Team Lotus notes about them/Caterham...

It's not that hard if the car is good to get a good time with little to zero testing. And we all know that car is good...

F1 FP3 starting now. Epic nice sunny weather now compared to the rain/damp running yesterday...

After little running for Vettel yesterday my money is on for Webber for pole...

Wonder how many people forgot to put in their fantasy F1 predicitions? :holmes:

I went for the obvious man on pole(Vettel) but mixed up the race results for a laugh...

Under 20 mins until the cars hit the track...

Don't think I included Vettel in any of my predictions. Good to see he has got rid of the Beiber look.

327 days since McLaren last had a pole position :teehee:

    I'm enjoying Brundle/Coulthard commentary.
