So what do Open Day visitors think of Aston?

As above really, I went too, really reputable, nice friendly students as well as members of staff, and hopefully, if I do put Aston as firm, I hope and hope to get the En-Suite room, as the standard accomodation wasn't to my liking, but I am sure I can cope..!

I wasn't a big fan of the accomodation, especially the towerblocks. We went into the lift on the ground floor and the door wouldn't even shut properly, so our tour guide had to kinda hit it, lol. Great first impression that gave. Lakeside was reasonable, but I hated the kitchens. The fact that most people won't get into Lakeside kinda puts me off of the place as a whole to be honest.

Generally I'd say that the uni seemed ok, I'm loving the idea of the placement year.

I will probably but Aston as my insurance offer.

Meh, I'm in Stafford Tower and having the time of my life.

The facilities in those towers are ****, but once you've slept in that bed for a couple of nights, that little room you sleep in becomes your little home, and all those little people outside in the corridor are your new friends and you have a great time.

If I was staying for a weekend I'd want Lakeside, but if you're staying for a whole year then a home is a home.

PS - haven't had to queue once for showers, despite sharing with the 17 other people on my floor.
