    My favourite 'historical' quote would probably be "nothing is impossible to him who will try", by Alexander the Great, but my favourite quote ever is from the film V for Vendetta - "beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr Creedy, and ideas are bullet-proof". I have watched that so many times, and yet it is still awesome.
