It likely won't be out until 2014 considering they said the beta will be in late 2013 so at least they're not going for a medal of honour one year then battlefield the next etc. kind of thing.
When you put it like that, it makes a lot of sense. BF3 was released in 2011 so the next one isn't until at least 2014. It's not as bad as everyone makes out.

Why not 2013? The beta is set for Fall 2013 and the beta for BF3 was Fall 2011 and the game came out a month later. The fall/winter quarter is the best time to release games.

New features include more maps and even more destruction!
Probably means they're including all the destruction that they cut from BF3 after the beta (cratering, ground deformation, collapsing buildings, raining debris)...

I didn't think they'd make it that close - I guess I forgot about the BF3 beta date - for some reason I had early summer in my head for the BF3 beta

    You are then probably right.

I was pretty disappointed with the lack of destruction in BF3. Considering all the pre-release talk of them 'bringing back real destruction' that BF:BC2 took away - I'd have expected it to at least have AS MUCH destruction as BC2.

It would be so much better if they waited for the new round of consoles. They've obviously reached the peak with this round and it's probably having a detrimental effect on how far the PC version can go as well. They could have a game built from the ground up for the next console and really utilise the full capabilities of such a machine (and the PC wouldn't be as badly hampered and have the game on such crutches either). :coma:

The L96? Yeah it's pretty fun. It can also be pretty annoying when you get kill assists for 98 and 99. I've found it's a really good way to get a ton of kills with the snipers to get the other unlocks.

EDIT: I love that there's no/no noticeable sway when ADS (Aiming Down Sights), too.

haha, would be funny if you got someone onto 0% hp (yes we have all seen it :P (i hope) ) and you got a kill assist for 100

(dislike ? thats a bit harsh)

Indeed. Some websites are talking about the possibility of it being a launch title but that's not really possible considering everyone who perorders MoH gets guaranteed beta access. They're not exactly going to offer the beta on consoles those customers don't even own (at least, I'd think not!).

EA just really wants to milk the cow. They have been making losses for the last 4-5 quarters and the sooner they release a new Battlefield the quicker the money comes in. I wonder how they want to improve the graphics of the consoles even more. I suppose Bf4 will have the same graphics on consoles as Bf3. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake Infinity Ward did with MW3...

On kharg island I seem to be a magnet to anyone flying a little bird, it's been good practice for knocking them down with rpg's.

I also had an insanely lucky kill on an attack helicopter of Wake Island as well, it was so lucky I apologised to the pilot for it. It was quite funny though, I was trying to hit a tank, misjudged the rocket drop and fired over the top of it just as the heli emerged over the bank behind it

Top tip: Play on Oman on the US side. Ultimate in trolling techniques is hiding on the large rock by their airfield, and when you see someone running to their attack heli (or jets for that matter), you can fire a rocket and take it out.

Somewhat spawn-raping, but all's fair in love and war.

    PRSO

Some of the things you see and do on battlefield are just so random and flueky. Part of the reason I love it so much.

Still not sure how I'm going to do the other 3 kills on this damn assignment. Ah well think I'll just get a friend to help.
