I think i've gotten full marks on the 12 mark section, the divorce rate Q was a piece of piss IMO, and struggled then with feminism Q :frown: couldn't remember any names so just gave general marxist/radical/ liberal feminist views and then wrote some criticisms... Hopefully if i've got a high mark in my first essay, it shouldn't be too damaging to my grade!

EDIT: forgot to mention patriarchy in the feminism essay aswell! Of all things to forget to put in! Managed to slip it into my conclusion that i rushed in the last 2 minutes :/

Edit: which question do you mean btw? I assumed you meant the 4 marker? :s-smilie:

10) this would be quite easy eg talk about roles in the household then go on to talk about repressiveness of the ideologically constructed family and the socialisation of men and women eg expressive and instrumental roles. also how marriage is a prison for women. include names such as ann oakley. talk about the dual role and the double and tripple shift. also talk about feminisation of society and the new man also welfare state supporting females. yuo could also include the changing attitudes of women and how they are more career focused and less stigmatised to marry young.
perhaps all of this will put your minds to rest over wether or not you did well on the last question.

I mentioned how they weren't allowed things like alcohol and said how they have restricted TV viewing before certain time so they are protected :/ I not sure if its good but it was only a mini-question!

for the feminist question;

Radical Feminist: Shulamith Firestone - "family is tool of male dominance"

Marxist feminist: Ainsley
- "women are takers of ****"

Liberal Feminist: Ann Oakley - disagrees with the "March of Progress" idea proposed by Wilmott and Young

Somerville goes against the radical feminist idea of 'seperatism' too.

Nearly died of happiness when i saw the divorce question! I'm hoping I got nearly full marks on it, fingers crossed! Didn't enjoy the second essay, i completely blanked on actually feminist names, but managed to get the different views in and criticised feminism overall, so hopefully that'll get me enough marks. As long as I get a B, i'm happy!

I'm a bit annoyed at my teacher tbh, she didn't go over any of the fews with us in proper detail, most of the views I had to learn while revising the past few days :/ done the best with what i had though and it could have been much worse!

Hahaha that's lucky! Our teacher hadn;'t been through any past papers with us and because I've been so busy with other exams I just hadn't bothered to check :/ Oh well, theres always a resit but I really don't think I'll have done worse than a C! Good luck to you on results day though!

Ffs, I got Ann and Ainsley mixed up ¬.¬
Oh well, divorce question was pretty simple but Feminist was probably the harder question >.< hopefully I've did enough for an A.

Seeing those questions, I wish I had done the retake of this exam. Far better questions than were on the January 2011 paper. Hope all of you did well all the same though

want to kiss whoever invented that paper, was top! even though i put down ainsely was a radical feminist, and zaretsky a marxist feminist (is that right, is zaretsky a marx fem? :s-smilie:) it went well. what did you all put down for the second one about policies changing children's experiences?
i put the introduction of the divorce reform act = more l.p.f's and fatherless families for children, introduction of policies regarding domestic abuse which is a positive as the social can get involved blah blah, and i seem to have forgotten what i put as the other one :s-smilie: was going to put EMA but then i'd already written my third so cba'd trying to fit in another.

EDIT: ohh my bad, remembered it was only 2 reasons!
