Yeah, it's an average over the 2 modules. 88 and 95 would get you the A*.

Not quite - just 270+ in your best three A2 units (any from FP2-3, M2-4, S2-4, D2), plus A in the overall A-level.

From the OCR site:
It is also possible to achieve A Level Further Mathematics with more than three A2 units. In this case, the A* is calculated in the same way as it is for all other subjects, based on the three best A2 units.


So this would get me A* at Further:

AS:
FP1: 75
S1: 85
S2: 85

A2:
D2: 92
M2: 93
FP2: 56

Even though I only got 56 in FP2, my best three A2 units (S2, D2, M2) all add up to 270 or more. And I got an average of 80 overall, so it's all good :biggrin:

(Note: I didn't actually get this :tongue:)

I was wondering if anyone knew how this worked for M2. It's an A2 module, so does it count for my average 90 UMS? Thank you

For A-level maths? No, you just need an overall average of 80% and an average of 90% in C3/4 for an A*.

If you have C3 and C4 in the bag you can afford to be this complacent. The other modules are much easier.

That being said, it is unlikely you'll have C3 and C4 done before the others so I wouldn't adopt this attitude.

Oh thank you that clears it up, harder than i thought ! I'll target S2 and D2 as the easy ones and then pray for a miracle in FP2 :tongue:
