Re: UCL Applicant Thread for 2012 EntryNot necessarily. I'm sure they're aware that a lot of teachers aren't used to the new A* system yet - and that some refuse to hand out A* predictions at all. Of course it would help, but I'd hardly say it's a death-knell for his application.(Original post by Purehakkai)
You can try..but not having an A* grade/prediction in maths means you probably will get rejected.
Edit: of course, if those are your final grades, that's a bit different. I'm not sure how strict they are on wanting an A* for the economics course.Last edited by Lucevar; 06-04-2012 at 13:16. -
Re: UCL Applicant Thread for 2012 EntryWell I'm going to study Economics at UCL and I know a lot of people who applied. I'm not saying that if you aren't predicted an A* you are definitely not getting in, but chances are highly unlikely. UCL are very strict about meeting their offers. In all fairness a lot of people apply with the A* prediction and get rejected, you would need to have something outstanding in your application to be given an offer over the people who are predicted A*AA or higher(Original post by Lucevar)

Re: UCL Applicant Thread for 2012 EntryAs long as you meet the minimum requirements, you have just as good a chance as anyone else.(Original post by matthurry)

"Insurance students
If you hold UCL as an insurance offer, you must be prepared to plan to find accommodation for yourself using University of London Housing Services." -

Re: UCL Applicant Thread for 2012 EntryIs there anyone still waiting for an offer? Please let me know. Otherwise I'll close this thread so you can all post in the offers thread to keep things a bit more tidy on the forum

Also, any queries regarding 'am I good enough' or accommodation questions, please post in the appropriate threads or 'ask a current UCL student' to get more accurate info and faster! -

Re: UCL Applicant Thread for 2012 EntryProbably depends whether or not the spaces are filled after the results come out. If so, I'd assume so. You can probably contact them or if you're sure to attend, ask once you're there whether or not you can change.(Original post by Dinothunder)
Guys, do you know the likelihood of ucl letting me switch from natural sciences to chemistry (with a year abroad)??
