tbh it was more marks towards knowledge of a webpage rather then the pictures they gave probly 5marks for pictures.
how did everyone find it? i got the paper i was like its a bit thick then when we opened it that silly insert!!!
i thought the paper was okay i didnt like the stress and RSI question the function of software to prevent them!
and i hated drawing the webpage! that insert thing was stupid!!! :L
i thought it was alright though, i could of done with more time though i could have wrote so much more for my 20 marker!

Well the insert had like 12 or so image son it which were supposed to be inserted into your design.
Then you were suppose to write in the evaluation part next to where you drew your sketch why you chose the images and what benefit it has on the homepage.
e.g. I chose the picture of the building as it resembles the place in which the U-16 sports activities might take place which gives viewers of the website an incite on what the club is like.
Hope this helps.

so how many marks do u reckon i lost

ame i talked about all the apps the iphone has and teleworking and internet text and call gps and stuff and how young people have it and its ranged to all and its portable you think ill get good marks?
Reply 87
yeah i wrote about differnt kind of apps like gps, useful ones, and games.

what did you write for the software function you would use for RSI and Stress?
Reply 88
people people people!!!!! that wasnt in the syllabus there not expecting you to mention random apps. when they mention software u gotta speak about software how it runs the hardware ware u gotta speak about the generic apps specific and bespoke like i did and speak about the macros and its wizard is automated like some now day phones they use macros to install apps because it installs it automatically which means it recorded all that kind of rubbish
i know im stupid i left the insert page but it cleaaaan people i think i still got a b
but commen sense its not in the syllabus they shouldnt throw it at you
but u know u learn from ur mistakes init

the last question is always about things not related in the syllabus.
the INFO2 in january asked us to write a letter for to apply for a job. that has nothing to do with INFO 2.

sarzy94 come lets sue dem den

but real talk when they said software u just gotta chat about wat u learnt about software application and in that exam u just had to relate it to a smartphone and trick them into thinking your smarter then you really are
but owell everyone saying its hard so watch them drop the grade boundaries
Reply 92
okay people i think its time just to stop thinking about it cos its no point were nearly reached the end of our exams and if we carryon thinking about it then its gonna effect our other exams which will then ruin our summer holiday. so people with a frown just turn it upside down and move on cos theres always second and third chance and thats what makes us lucky cos in other countries people cant even have a roof over there head they have to go out and bring that one portion of food back to there family and were over here just sitting comfortably and blessed with gods grace so people that thought it was hard then just make sure you dont take studying for granted and study that little harder next time and the rest isnt ur fault if u flop
saaluuuut

okay then!!!

How much did everybody write for the last question? I only managed about 2 pages after wasting all my time on that website, I'm worried that's not substantial enough to get me into A territory...
That exam was actually hard, and I'm usally getting 80-90%, hope the grade boundaries are super low :|

When they mean software application they mean stuff like alarm clocks, gps, internet browser. Even if it's not it the sylabus, these type of question come up in almost every paper like the one where you had to change the design on the layout of a website (not the 17 mark question in this paper)

Seems as though I'm in the same boat as most of you guys, the exam was pretty tight for time :frown: Didn't help that I had to do Economics, then ICT literally straight after.

For the last question, I wrote partly about gaming and then tried to add some 'specialist vocab' by using that some games can be played online using wifi or 3G connectivity  Then I wrote pretty briefly about internet and email apps, then a small bit on financial apps e.g. a calculator

But then I said mobile phones are usually impractical for word processing as the keys are smaller and less efficient to use than a keyboard on a computer. Then went on to say it is mainly smart phones that have software applications, not all mobile phones.

What do you reckon? Any good? or just garbage? lol

@Ketchup, the insert was for Question 6. I dont know how you did that question without the insert.

What did everyone right for the last question? Anyone else talk about different softwares like Web Browsing and Image manipulation etc.

I think you were supposed to talk about utility software and operating software. Me being dosy and caught up in the exam completely forgot and just listed everything that a phone does. ARGH.

I talked about picture manipulation, internet, applications you can download, how the processing time is quite slow and the screen is small so may not be good to use....
How many marks do you think I'll lose for not mentioning utility software etc. :frown:
May be doing a re resit...
