Situation ethics - strenghts and weaknesses

okay, so it's my ethics exam tomorrow (wjec) and i REALLY need to learn some strengths and weaknesses of SITUATION ETHICS! can anyone help me?
also, does anyone have any info on hoose and/or robinson??? thanks guys x

Not sure about hoose or robinson, but i have some general strengths and weaknessed of situation ethics :smile:

Strengths:
Easy to understand and can be applied to new situations as they arise
Focuses on doing what is right for humans
Flexible (however this means it can be hard to apply)

Weaknesses:
You can't know the consequences of your actions, so you may unnintentionally cause an unloving outcome
May be against the teachings of the Church (e.g. homosexuality is accepted, as to allow it is the most loving thing, yet the church forbids this). You could debate whether this is really a weakness though.
