Lol I don't drink, but i make sure i have a damn good time anyway.

Personally, I think doing all of that stuff is cool when you've gotten to know each other a bit but going out and getting tipsy can widen your social circle- especially on freshers week. I'm not saying get absolutely smashed or anything- you don't even have to drink- but if you do that as well as having those nights in then you have the opportunity to make some really good friends.

Yeah, I went to the freshers week in Newcastle and it was pretty good. The only problem was that all the awesome people I met disappeared and all the people from my course were the "can't wait to go out and drink" type. The accommodation was really isolated and there weren't many societies to join. :s-smilie:

Still, I'm looking forward to going to Leeds. :smile:

i don't see the appeal in alcohol..
Looks and smells like piss..no offence to those who drink.
and i agree best nights come put from just hanging with your friends..:smile:

No no no, you're not the only one! It seems the majority of young people are into that nowadays..which I think sucks. I don't think it's a good look.
But I'm sure you'll meet people who aren't interested in getting drunk all the time. I'm exactly the same as you!
