Deadline for new students question!!!
Right, I applied for student finance as soon as it was possible to but I have recently been asked for evidence regarding the separation of my parents. I just would like some reassurance that, because I applied before the deadline am I definitely going to be getting my finance on time? Does the deadline just mean for people sending their applications in, in the first place?

It's the completion of evidence, but don't worry too much about the deadline. It just means that if you apply after the deadline, you're not guaranteed to receive your money on time, but last year I applied in July and had no problems. Your uni and your accommodation are usually quite forgiving if you're experiencing delays. Just make sure you get a student account in case you need to use the overdraft facility.
