Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread III'd heard good things about Bojan, but haven't seen him play much so I really do hope it's just a rumour after reading that. I agree about Santon on the most part though, he was excellent last season although at times he wasn't the best defensively imo but going forward he's fantastic, and he'll just keep getting better and better too which is the best part.(Original post by I Kant Spall)
I follow Serie A even more than the Premiership and I think this would be horrible for Newcastle. Santon is brilliant and I think he'll be Italy's first-choice LB in a few years time if Chiellini is moved to the center. So good at going forward but also great defensively. Last season he was one of the unsung heroes of the squad and I praise Pardew for using a 21-year-old for much of the season. I feel bad for Shane Ferguson because he too has looked great coming off the bench.
Bojan, on the other hand, struggled to get any playing time at Roma, even with the same manager he had at Barcelona B. He just disappears in games and would not be a good fit for the English game at all. Another striker is needed, possibly one that could play out wide, but Bojan is not the answer.
Never thought I'd say this about NUFC, but the club's in a precarious position of having a lot of good, young players. Couple that with one of the best scouts in the business and we have some exciting times ahead of us.
Anyone else got a season ticket btw? I'm hoping mine arrives soon, can't wait for Tottenham first game

Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread II
Bojan is weak as piss, he wouldn't cope in the Prem especially not up here.
Anywhere the Evening Chronicle seem certain we're getting Carroll like

Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread IINice to hear his point of view on his future. I hope we get him back would be great. Wonder what reception he would get if he did come back and I wonder what new chant would be made about him.(Original post by TM94)

Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread II
Stupid question, but who's wearing the #17?

I can't get a good look at him but he's lightning fast and all over the pitch right now.
EDIT: Lmao when Demba Ba scored. You could hear the keeper yell "HOW?" with his arms raised in the air bwahaha!
EDIT2: #17 is Romain Amalfitano. Really energetic player. First time I've seen him.Last edited by I Kant Spall; 16-07-2012 at 19:15. -

So Debuchy has finally admitted that we are his priority and has urged his club Lille to get their act together so he can move

Is he open with that? Will be interesting to see how the crowds react to that and interesting to see how little the FA do about it!(Original post by greeneyedgirl)
He's no Cabaye...although neither is achievable, one is married and one is gay.

As far as I know the gay rumour only came about because of this.(Original post by greeneyedgirl)

Hardly conclusive proof of his sexuality TBF! -
Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread III don't think France has any openly gay footballers.(Original post by Mess.)
