Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread III'm away down to the game so i hope its a good performance. City have been on fire recently but they are vulnerble. Wolves nearly got something out of the game last week in the league, If they're keeper hadn't of decided to be an absolute ****.(Original post by TSR King)
Whats everyone's prediction for the City game?.. I think it is definately the hardest out of the 3 games after Everton. Anyone think we can get a draw at the Etihad stadium? -

I think I'm in love.
(Also Olivier Bernard translated for them - what a legend he was.)Last edited by Chriswuk; 04-11-2011 at 19:48. -

(Also Olivier Bernard translated for them - what a legend he was.)I didn't realise Bernard is only 32, and what an injury that must have been. One of the few occasions Pardew's £4.3m summer signing from Lille frowns is when Olivier Bernard, the former Lyon and Newcastle left-back turned anti-racism campaigner and part-time interpreter, tells Cabaye about the serious hip injury that brought his career to a premature end and has left the 32‑year‑old walking with a heavy limp.
Sad waste of talent.

I remember being seven years old, with both Bernard and Robert on the wing. Both players were incredibly talented and would have liked to have stayed his whole career at NUFC except for a certain **** named Souness taking over and ruining the club and getting rid of loyalty like Bernard and bringing in ****e like Boumsong. He really should be put in an ambassador role as you can tell the guy loves the club.
Je Vous Salue Bernard -
Re: Newcastle United F.C Society Thread IIThere seems to be something about ex-Liverpool managers wrecking the club. Dalglish wrecking Keegan's title challenging entertainers (arguably best side since the 1950s), and then Souness wrecking Robson's (not quite as good, but still top 3/4) side. I know Alan Pardew wasn't the choice of many but at least he didn't manage Liverpool.(Original post by TCD23)

Nervous as always and feeling pretty pessimistic...
But I was certain we'd lose to Stoke and look what happened... -

Can those of you watching the match post in here during the match. It's just to encourage discussion as neutrals can be a bit intimidated with 'societies'
