Re: Law Applicants 2012aw, rejection sucks(Original post by Bea492)
I'm waiting for Bristol and Nottingham. I got rejected from Oxford on Friday
Oh well I got an Unconditional from Warwick yesterday so it's all good! Hope you hear from them soon! Where is your first choice now?

King's College is now my first choice, I have an offer & need to get A*AAA :/
What about you? -

aw, rejection sucks
King's College is now my first choice, I have an offer & need to get A*AAA :/

Ah you're sorted then! Even though it's a steep offer! I didn't apply to Kings because I already have my A levels and my A*s aren't traditional subjects. I half wish I'd have given it a shot now. But now I think my first choice will be Bristol or Nottingham...or Warwick haha I don't know! I really need to go and visit. But whichever Uni I end up at I WILL go to Oxford for my grad degree, they will not reject me again :P -
Re: Law Applicants 2012Took me three weeks to get an offer, sent on 12th Oct, Offer on 3rd Nov(Original post by Omiclops)
I'm still waiting on Newcastle too. Sent my application 15th November so been waiting over a month now! -
Re: Law Applicants 2012Jealous! I sent mine on the 15th and am yet to hear anything. Really hope I get an offer as I'd seriously consider going!(Original post by jamestwob)

I'm sure you will get in for postgrad. With grades like yours, you will do amazingly well at your degree and Oxford will have no choice but to accept you!
I'm hoping to apply to universities in the US after my degree for postgrad.

Re: Law Applicants 2012Yeah I got that email too. I was so nervous when I saw it, I thought it might have been a decision!(Original post by aimlessinwonder)
"We expect to make the majority of decisions on applications to study Law at the University of Bristol between January and mid-March. "

Be careful of listening to others without checking with Universities directly first. Manchester state:(Original post by michiiru)
Hi there!
Also, be wary of Manchester; like LSE, they place a LOT of emphasis on GCSE grades (disproportionate in my view) and dislike A Levels like Law and Psychology for some reason. (Again, unjustifiably in my view.)
We prefer to see at least 2 traditional subjects in your A-Level choices, however we welcome all subjects from Arts, Humanities, Mathematics & Science provided they have an academic content of at least 70%.
After having spoken to them they actually consider Psychology and Sociology as Traditional and Law is fine, especially if combined with two traditional subjects.
AND they do not place a LOT of emphasis on GCSE's they set a guidance requirement of 5 A's at GCSE including English Language and a B in Maths. -
