The surfing degree does exist- I met the guy who established it! they do it at plymouth uni. its kinda about designing surfboards and teaching surfing i think..

There's a BA Surfing Science or something at Plymout uni! They also claim it's the only such degree world wide, I think :p:

Plymouth offer BSc Surf Science. I know someone on the course and it is basically a mix of oceanology, meteorology, tourism and business. I know it had a huge drop-out rate because it is quite a scientific course and I suspect many of the surfer dudes were not expecting that hehe.

Here are the modules studied in the programme. It doesn't look like as much of a joke as the degree title sounds lol.
