Just finished rereading Norwegian Wood by Murakami. I forgot how sad the ending is. Has anyone else read it? Such a fantastic book.

About to start Generation X by Douglas Coupland.

Has anyone here read Blindsight by Peter Watts? It would be interesting to hear other opinions on it.

    Personally I loved the book.

Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte. Finding it quite addictive so far, and I absolutely adore Jane, already one of my favourite characters. I've already learnt some valuable lessons from the novel too.

I'm trying to read Norwegian Wood in Danish right now. Going a little slower than it would were I reading it in English, obviously. I hope it's as good as Kafka on the Shore. I found the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle a bit crap in comparison if I'm honest.

Edit: Just remembered I've also read Dance, Dance, Dance and had to check whether it was that that I found disappointing. I can't quite remember how impressed with that one I was. Pretty sure Kafka on the Shore tops them all though.

****, you are correct. My sincere apologies to Ms McCullers.

On a separate but related note I just finished reading Moise and the World of Reason. It pains me to have to say it, given how much I love his plays, but it was pretty ****.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I'm almost finished with it, but I want to punch everyone in this book and the book itself, and probably the author too.
