Animal Farm. I loved 1984, and George Orwell is now officially one of my fave authors if all time.(Followed by the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen)

I'm trying to read Ulysses by James Joyce - 'trying' being the operative word :sadnod:

Onto brighter things, I purchased The Divine Comedy a few days ago; I've been wanting to read this book for years
Trying is how I also would describe my reading of that darn book. I've tried, on a number of occasions, to read it but always kinda stop after Calypso. I asked one of my friends how he was finding it and he said, "Not finding it too difficult to be honest." :lolwut: Must be lying.

Just started The Berlin Novels by Christopher Isherwood, which I'm really liking. Decided to read it after watching the great TV production of Christopher & His Kind which starred Matt Smith!

Finished 'The turn of the Screw' by Henry James today, only took me a day to read- very gripping. Just ordered 'The Catcher in the Rye' and 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time'. I'm excited to start them, been meaning to read them for ages!

Just finished I am Legend. I knew it was completely different from the books, but it wasn't what I was expecting at all. I really enjoyed it, the film seems so silly in comparison now.

I am now reading Ubik by Philip K. Dick. I'm not very far through it yet, so I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

Oh, and I've been reading HP Lovecraft's stories on and off. The last one I finished was The Shadow out of time and I loved it.

I have so many books on my Kindle now (mostly free classics from Amazon and I had a load of gift credit, so I went crazy) and I'm not sure what I'll read next. I started working through Murakami's work chronologically, since I didn't know where to begin and all his books appealed to me. The next one is A Wild sheep Chase, so I think that might be next.

I loved watching Christopher and His Kind, I really wanted to get some of the author's books but had no money at the time, will have a look now. The Berlin Novels sound interesting!

Currently reading 'The Chronicles of Thomas Covenent, The Unbeliever'. Bit slow in places and clunky, but the vocabularly used is generally a bit more varied than what I'm used to. Which is a plus.

    Anybody read 'em before?

I'm reading the entire A Song of Ice and Fire Series. Just started A Feast for Crows. The series is brilliant, I wish I'd read it earlier!

You're friend is, irrefutably, a liar - of course, I can come to this conclusion with not knowing who they are :proud: It's a real nightmare, I'll be reading for 10 minutes and then it will come to me that I do not know what I have just read. But still, I will continue because if I ever finish reading page 1 million and 7 then I will be extremely joyous.

Currently I am reading Brida by Paulo Coelho. I wanted to read something light and easy to read, because in April while I was still studying for exams I started reading 3 brilliant books, but I couldn't finish them. The first one was by Francisco Lopez Seivane, the second one is NLP by Harry Alder and the third one is by one young Bulgarian author. Btw before brida I read The noticer - also one light and enjoyable book.

Reading The Hunger Games - Mockingjay

Books 2 and 3 are good but really don't have the excitement and epicness of the first one...

.. but I guess that's like any sequel. Lovely how the characters are developing... but i'm getting to like Katniss less and less which is not what you want for your main character XD

Just started 'Evelina' by Frances Burney. It's a promising start, but it's just not the same as reading a Bronte novel!

You also get the bragging rights to say you've finished Ulysses in every literary discussion. You'll become one of those people.

Halfway through The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood. I've not read The Handmaid's Tale, nor Oryx and Crake (which I wanted to originally get but the bookshop was out of stock!) but have read numerous of her other non-SF books. I don't know how I feel about this one. I'm a little disappointed. Her distinct writing style isn't as strong here and the book seems very trope and trick heavy. It's not bad by far but by far not the best Atwood, IMO.
