No force is unstoppable, no object immovable.

The unstoppable force stops, the immovable object moves.

They would pass through each other.

Because for an unstoppable force to exist, an immovable object would be impossible, as they both imply that the other cannot not exist, the situation is impossible.

The unstoppable force would simply go around the immovable object. If that's not possible then it would go through it. Either scenario maintains the properties of both parties.

By definition, such objects cannot co-exist in the same universe.
Wow, scrolling through here and it took this long for someone to point this out. I couldn't believe it.

If a force is unstoppable, that implies that there is no object which can possibly withstand it, and hence once that term is introduced speaking about 'immovable objects' makes no sense. Same works the other way around.

    What I was thinking

Other than that, they cannot exist in the same universe. Or they need redefining.

It is logically impossible for an unstoppable force to exist at the same time as an immovable object, because each implies that the other does not exist.

um, hello? neither the unstoppable force nor the immovable object can actually exist. oh, sure, we can have very difficult to stop forces, and almost impossible to move objects, but physics does not really allow for absolutes like that.

well it would stop moving in the case of a hammer but the force would still be there

ie, if i push against a brick wall, it dosent move but i am still applying force
