Suggest me a good film to watch
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: TSR Film Recommendations/What's Your Favourite Film?Troy every time! Can literally sit through it replaying(Original post by Dobrzynski)

Re: TSR Film Recommendations/What's Your Favourite Film?Troy gets rid of the most interesting aspect of the Iliad (the gods, of course), but provides decent contemporary commentary on the Iraq war and some cool fight scenes.(Original post by Dobrzynski)
Question: Troy or The Last King of Scotland?
Last King of Scotland features an inexplicably appraised performance that wouldn't feel out of place in a blaxpoitation film, and uses its true story aspect in a really flat way.
So neither is amazing, but Troy -
Re: TSR Film Recommendations/What's Your Favourite Film? Thanks I will give those a look.(Original post by MrCarmady)
are you looking to branch out into other genres or stick with the crime/thriller stuff?
if the former, go for the host (very entertaining monster film) and peppermint candy (brutally sad drama), i'm not a huge expert on the latter, though.

OP wants to see some chick flicks.(Original post by benten17)
Surprised that nobody mentioned the Bourne Trilogy. I'm going to watch them all again( and probably again and again and again) so that I'm ready for Bourne Legacy.

Re: TSR Film Recommendations/What's Your Favourite Film?
Zodiac - 2007 by David Fincher is one of the best movies ever. For anyone who is interested in true crime i would highly recommend it. Not a slasher but just a superbly crafted thriller that perfectly captures the essence of 1960s/70s America.
It also has one helluva soundtrack =)
