Troy gets rid of the most interesting aspect of the Iliad (the gods, of course), but provides decent contemporary commentary on the Iraq war and some cool fight scenes.
Last King of Scotland features an inexplicably appraised performance that wouldn't feel out of place in a blaxpoitation film, and uses its true story aspect in a really flat way.
So neither is amazing, but Troy

if the former, go for the host (very entertaining monster film) and peppermint candy (brutally sad drama), i'm not a huge expert on the latter, though.

Zodiac - 2007 by David Fincher is one of the best movies ever. For anyone who is interested in true crime i would highly recommend it. Not a slasher but just a superbly crafted thriller that perfectly captures the essence of 1960s/70s America.

It also has one helluva soundtrack =)
