Scarface (1983) and Frankie and Johnny (1991)
I did read through the whole list and I couldn't see any of these on it so please forgive me if they are already on the list:
Monsters - Gareth Edwards, 2010, Genre - Sci-fi romance?
Let the Right one in - Tomas Alfredson, 2008, Horror romance?
Backdraft - Ron Howard, 1991, crime

Also, I couldn't see Donnie Darko on the list but I'm assuming I just didn't see it because there's no way it wouldn't be on there.
Ok, i've really been getting into my films recently so thought it would be good to share some... I'm gonna post my top 3 films first:

1. Il Postino 1994
2. Mulholland Drive 2001
3. Cache (Hidden) 2005

1 Recommendation: Into the Wild 2007

I'm sure most of you have seen these but maybe we can get some new/leftfield recommendations!
1)the dictator
2)Ted
3)Scream 1

recommend: prince off egypt
I want something in the vein of Ocean's Eleven etc. (the 2001 trilogy) but have seen a lot of the Comedy-Drama and Black Comedy options (or don't fancy watching what's left)

Any suggestions?

Many thanks
The Reader (2008, Stephen Daldry) - drama

Double jeopardy (1999, Bruce Beresford) - thriller

As someone who loves films, and enjoys discovering new films, I think this is a great idea! Thank you very much, sir. For me, every night is a movie night:biggrin: lol I like films that capture my imagination, make me feel immersed and/or change my prespective towards life( and maybe a few tears or two along the way:colondollar:).

I recommend Killer Joe, directed by Williams Friedkin (Exorcist) and starring Matthew McConaughey. One of the best films I've seen this year! All the performances in it are outstanding. Go here for more info on the film (and to see some clips too). Really excited for the Blu-Ray release of this!
