Re: The Walking DeadSpoiler:ShowThe 'reveal' of everyone being infected and they will reanimate upon death changes absolutely nothing within the world. You still have to be wary of zombie attacks as they can cause death, same as avoiding a zombie bite. You also have to avoid dying through things like car crashes etc like you would do anyway and finally when someone does die all you have to do is stick a spike through their brain or something.
Nothing has changed so I don't see why it was meant to be such a big moment

Spoiler:ShowI think it was more to do with the impact on hope. Before, survivors could subconsciously believe that there was a cure, or a way for this to end. Likewise, they could rest assured that, should they 'opt out' or simply die, providing it wasn't at the hands of a walker, they'd die a natural death and avoid becoming a walker. This takes that away.
Also, I think it changes things in terms of the way they fight walkers. A bite is obviously going to be an issue, in terms of blood loss/infection etc. However, before a bite was seen something like it was in 28 Days Later: it meant they'd been infected and would change. Now, it just means they've been bitten, as if a dog had bitten you. It also means that, providing you're not being ripped apart or having vital organs munched by walkers, you can be less worried about being scratched etc. -
Re: The Walking DeadHow closely does it follow the comics? I can't imagine it would ruin much because you don't really know for sure the events in the comic will happen in the show. (I've not read any of the comics aside from Vol. 1, but from what I've heard it's only loosely based on it)(Original post by SweatyGoldfish)
I've just got upto the end of season 2's equivalent in the comics. Debating whether I should read on and have season 3 ruined

There isn't a 28 days later style scenario where the walkers will starve and die out and humanity can resume, there is always going to be the threat of walkers as long as humanity exists, all it takes is for someone to die and not to be dealt with and the plague continues. -
Re: The Walking DeadIt's a girl with the katana.(Original post by Seatbelt)
Spoiler:ShowThe look of the guy at the end of season 2 was pretty exaggerated i think..., but i've no problem with his samurai sword
Spoiler:ShowThe walkers she has chained to her are her boyfriend and best friend -
Re: The Walking DeadIt was also in the first ep of the first season IIRC(Original post by praj1)
does anyone remember seeing a helicopter in the season 2 finale?....the one that draws the walkers to the farm?.....WTF!?....THERE IS CIVILIZATION!? -
Re: The Walking Dead
Could someone explain to me how Shane became a walker, after Rick killed him.
My own theory is that Rick wanted to kill Shane without questions being asked
from the rest of the group, so he tainted the knife with a walker's blood. However, Shane did become a walker very quikly.
Am I missing out on something obvious, or is this sopposed to be unknown for the moment? -

Read below only if you HAVE seen the final episode.
Spoiler:ShowEveryone is already infected with the virus (this was the big secret Rick has been holding on for since the final episode of season 1 when the CDC guy whispered it to him), so if you die from something other than a bite, you'll become a walker. -

Re: The Walking DeadYeah it is loosely based, but quite a few of the major plot points (Walkers in the barn, Lori's pregnant, Shane goes crazy, Everyone is infected etc.) are present in both.(Original post by Guitarded)

Re: The Walking DeadSpoiler:ShowSo has this whole thing about everyone carrying the virus been true right from the beginning? If so have they not had people die before who haven't come back as zombies? I mean Shane came back very quickly, probably under 20 seconds. Obviously Dale was shot in the head anyway..but have they not had anyone die before..I thought they had..
