I keep getting gassy and I don't know what's causing it
I keep getting flatulence and feel gassy during the day. I'm worried that one day I'll forget and let it rip in front of everyone and that would be so embarrassing. What foods cause gas?

I mostly eat salads with mozzarella and fish. I drink coffee in the morning and eat activia with cereal.

I don't see how the foods I eat could be causing me problems.

Possibly the cheese? People can develop lactose intolerance during early adulthood. The other cause is much more fibre than you are used to .

I'd put the problem down to gas.

I have lactose intolerance, down a glass of milk and then if you get severe stomach cramps and then get very gassy, then bad news, no more cake and ice cream, and crisps, and milk and cheese....

I hardly ever burp, but I fart loads. I don't see it as a hindrance anymore, I love using my arse to clear rooms full of people.

I reckon its the Activia, it 'aids regular bowel movements' for a reason...

Try charcoal tablets (you can get them from Holland & Barretts). They absorb excess gas from your stomach/intestines.

Also, go easy on the Activia! It can cause diarrhea if you eat too much.

Yeah, I post this just after my mum ate some Chocolate mouse and caramel cake type thing.
I have to say I miss crisps the most, and not many people know they have lactose in (most flavours)

Hmm, the worst foods for flatulence are beans, vegetables (namely green ones) and fizzy drinks.

From what you say of your diet, I'm not too sure how you could really have bad flatulence... You might just be a gassy person? How often do you burp - If you find that it's very rare then it's probably a sign that your gas just likes to come out back
    I rarely burp.

, yeah I do fart a lot when I'm alone. I worry that one day I will forget that I'm around people and just let it rip.

I can drink a glass of milk with no problem.

Is that the only way to find out if I have a lactose intolerance?

Oh you might be right, oh my goodness, I bought the 8 pack activia in the last two weeks and that's when this gassiness started.
