Why psychology sucks

the exam game sucks. it's a case of "how many case studies can you learn for the exam" - no knowledge, just regurgitating facts. Just imagine mastermind and you have your exam.

Unit 1 the amount of case studies - 42

Unit 2 the amount of case studies - 61

103 case studies all together

A2 requires application of knowledge. AS is ****.

What exam board are you on? Cause that is a ridiculous amount for AS psychology, you don't need that many! A2 is more believable, (I have learnt roughly 170+ for unit 3 and unit 4) but I do agree it's just a memory task. Though if you have poor exam technique it will definitely let you down.

The memory thing applies to lots of a levels tbh, like biology

I know lots of people who know a lot less, but it's only cause I want an a* so trying to be prepared. AS psychology is quite nice in comparison to A2 (even though I'm doing better in A2). Don't panic haha!

Man, I thought Geography was bad with about 25 case studies.
Must be a pretty miserable subject to study.

AQA History is similar with facts, English Language is similar with theorists, Edexcel Politics is similar with examples, although 103 is obscene. These subjects also have some application.
