Re: Most expensive itemThe most expensive new item I own is one of my suits which I got for £250 from Marks & Spencer, it's really very nice.
The most expensive second-hand thing I bought was a US Navy peacoat from an surplus store in San Francisco for $65. It's a bit worse-for-wear now I've been wearing it for 3 years.
