Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes notI don't think that's true. I have a friend who's WAY more attractive in real life than he is in pictures. He always ends up looking all red or way fatter than he really is. And then on the other hand, I know someone else who's way more attractive in pictures than in person. But he might edit them, I'm not sure.(Original post by natalie9234)
Slightly off topic, but I read somewhere that your brain trains you into seeing yourself as way more attractive than you really are when you look in the mirror; so when you see a picture of yourself looking horrible, you say "oh my god the camera makes me look so ugly!", when in actual fact it doesn't, you're just that ugly. -
Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes notTrue to an extent, but this cannot account for when 3rd parties notice the difference.(Original post by natalie9234)

Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes not
A lot of girls use photoshop on pictures they put on facebook, especially their display pictures. Tbh I see no reason why you shouldn't go for it. I think the whole "they're too pretty, out of my league" argument is bullsh*t. There's absolutely no reason why she should be out of you league. For all you know she may have feelings for you, but may feel you're ont itnerested in her. If you don't try, you'll never know.

Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes not
im not photogenic AT ALL. i look absolutely terrible in pictures, but IRL i'd say im ok. I get laid, get complimented and feel content with my looks. I've learnt never to judge someone by their photos because beauty lies in how one animates their face, how one holds themselves, a smile, a gaze etc all of which a photo cannot truly depict.

There are features which you instinctly become 'attached' to or attracted to.
High cheek bones, baby eyes etc. etc.
Just a theory.
Have you spoken to this girl? -
Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes notWe speak some and I do like it, but we mainly text and whatnot. It's tough to just forget her.(Original post by ChoYunEL)
Do you like speaking to this girl? Enjoy her company as well?
Maybe you actually like this girl more than you think. -
Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes notIf you get caught at a funny angle, or pulling an odd expression (or hammered) it's not really an accurate representation of every day life.(Original post by natalie9234)

I only posted what I read.
But if you're pulling an odd expression or are hammered then you are going to look worse whether its a picture or not? -
Re: Sometimes I think she is way out of my league, sometimes notjeeez don't over-react(Original post by natalie9234)

is it that time of the month?
expression is only transient IRL. like the half blink mid laugh look... not so good in pictures. -

and yes, I understand what you mean and its a valid point but the experiment I read about wasn't talking about those shots when your eyes are half closed, it was talking about full on facial photos or just regular ones where your face is "normal". -

So untrue.
i'm not sure if I believe it or not. I know every picture I see of myself looks hideous, but the study was mostly based on like a survey type thing so I guess people couldve been lying.
