Congrats on the degree! Personally I would keep your sig as graduand for the moment. Seriously, once you are on my side of the wall you'd do anything to be a graduand again! Best couple of weeks of my life so far, I swear. Congratulations again!
    Thank you very much! =D

Yeah, it's been a really great couple of weeks - getting things lined up for summer, so should be good. Kind of scary too!

he's just a complete nutter and apparantly is a bit of a legend around durham lol i dont wanna go anywhere where people will know im related to him

I shouldn't worry too much about it - nobody is known that well across Durham for that sort of thing - the chances are if he does have a bad rep it's confined to his college and/or a uni club or society. Just avoid joining his College and you're sorted.

There's a 'which college is right for me?' tool on the website which might help you narrow your choices down.

Everyone I know who does it (which is a lot of people) loves it, lots of people transferred into it at the end of 1st year as well. It's really popular with people who want to either do joint honours in science (eg biology and chemistry), joint honours in a science and non science (eg maths and economics) or do a 'major' in science and a few modules in non-science subjects.

The website has all the information you'll need about the course, options, all the modules available, etc and will tell you exactly which modules you need to take in each subject and which optional modules you can do as well.

The offer for 2012 has gone up to A*AA.

Really? Most of the applicants I've spoken to have found it really clear. Are you on the natural sciences page?
    http://www.maths.dur.ac.uk/php/natur....php?dept=biol
    http://www.maths.dur.ac.uk/php/natur....php?dept=chem

(Scroll down those pages to see which modules are compulsory and which are optional)

    Re: Durham University 2012 entry
Is it a bit daft not to bother with open days? I'm not doing it for other options either, but it matters a bit more with colleges to pick...

    GCSEs: 10.5 A*s, A, A in FSMQ
Predictions: I think all As but I'm not expecting high UMS points
    Subject: Classics
Why Durham?: I don't have many choices, because most places require Latin A-level or say you can only study either Latin or Greek for the duration of your course. The fact that Durham didn't have this was enough. But also: Campus uni; not in London (and therefore away from home); supposedly a beautiful uni/city; good reputation, generally and subject wise; cool colleges

Anybody chosen a college yet? I've pretty much picked Trevelyan for the awesome idea that is hexagonal landings, amongst other things (i.e. Once I had it on my shortlist, that decided it)

I just went to the open day and i'm absolutely gutted that the offer for most subjects has gone up to A*AA. The tension in the room could have been cut with a knife...

yeah loads of subjects are included, what do you want to study?

if you go onto your subject page and go on latest news it should be there, the decision was made during the week :/
