I wouldn't like to guess but it was noticeably more difficult than the last 3 or 4 papers.

Thanks for the post. The question on mass put me off since I haven't seen it before in the past papers. Hopefully the calculator paper will be easier, thanks for the revision list also.

I probably got 60/100 and normally I was banging out those marks on past paper, cant believe how edexcel ruined my life. Lets hope calculator paper is easy and possibly aim for 90 marks, in order to get c.

btw thanks a lot mr m. I appreciate all your efforts.

Mr M - I'm currently helping a student try to get a C in the foundation paper (he needs that to help him get an apprenticeship).

In practice papers he was consistently scoring more than 85 - got 91 and 93 in the two November 2009 papers.

Anyhow he is feeling down at the moment because he felt he did really badly in this exam. I've tried to go through it a bit with him using your answers and I have the higher paper and know some of the questions are duplicated there. I have managed to get him to 65 marks but we still have quite a few unknowns - mainly because he can't remember the questions. I think he maybe hasn't done as badly as he thought - although not as good as his practice papers.

Ideally I would go through the paper with him but I know you have copyright issues. Would it be possible to tell me more about 4 specific questions ?

Numbers 4, 11 21 and 22 ?

It would hopefully help to calm him down before the next paper as I suspect he is probably just about on par for a C.

Thanks in anticipation of assistance from you or indeed anyone else with a good memory...

My maths teacher told me that we have to get at least 80 marks to pass however this paper was hard so do you think grade boundaries will be low?

any way for the computer question i got answer of 7 and i was confident that i was right but you proved me wrong :frown:
Reply 16
Hey if they do drop the grade boundries how low do you think they will ?

I think i dropped about 40 marks :frown:
Reply 17
What are the marks out of for this paper?
Reply 18
it's out of 100.
looking at the answers i think i got 58 marks out of 100! how much do i need in the calculator paper to get a C! please lower the boundaries as i have used all my spare time to revise for the past exam.
