Poisson's Theorem for the Laplacian

State Poisson's Theorem for the Laplacian in Rn\mathbb{R}^n, for n2n\geq 2. Explain (briefly) what makes the functions appearing in the statement of the theorem special.

Looking through the lecture notes, it doesn't immediately say anywhere 'this is Poisson's theorem'. I've tried searching it on google but the results are still a bit vague. Does anyone have any idea what this might be referring to? It's for a partial differential equations module.
