Re: CLOTHES WEBSITE - need to up their game
Limited range, are you mad? I love the huge choice that you can have using a store's website, you can see everything they sell including clothes that aren't "this season" and so aren't displayed in the shops anymore.
Prices are exactly the same as they would be in shops.
Delivery delays are to be expected. It's the price you pay for being too lazy to go to the shop itself

Re: CLOTHES WEBSITE - need to up their game
surely the most obvious downfall of online shopping is the inability to try on clothes before you get them
i actually dont mind if a website has something out of stock, much worse if you go all the way to a shopping center to find the things you want aren't available -
Re: CLOTHES WEBSITE - need to up their game
I actually think online clothing stores are pretty good in general. Asos have free delivery, 10% NUS discount WHICH HAS JUST BEEN INCREASED TO 20% FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ONLY
(makes me feel less guilty about buying excessively from there
) and the choice is amazing. There's an unlimited choice, often greater discounts than any other shop and free returns. Many other places are catching up too, and free delivery is available at House of Fraser if you spend over a certain amount. It's easier to compare items online than in real life between different shops. The hassle of returning stuff can be annoying, but then again, it's not really the shop's fault. Not being able to feel the fabric and try it on before buying is probably the worst thing. The one thing that will make me spend more on an item is if it's better quality, and you can't always tell online.

Re: CLOTHES WEBSITE - need to up their gamegood point, being too lazy to go to the shops guess doesnt really matter then the the large range you get on the web, if prices where a lil lower it would be even better.(Original post by angelbones)

That does pose a problem, which is why I only buy from brands I already own / know are good quality. You have to remember that some items (bags particularly) are often filled with stuff to make the seem more rigid as if they hold their shape better than they do. When it arrives it feels cheap and not like it did on the website. Asos do sell branded stuff slightly cheaper than most sites, and their student discount always makes it a worthwhile purchase.

its this business project thing i have to do and im pretty close to clueless so if it was you doing this what would you say are the most important points of all for a good online retail website and the guys that tend to stuff the products, does that include some high street lables or its mostly the unknown brands???

Re: CLOTHES WEBSITE - need to up their gameSorry I took ages to reply. I've never been told they actually stuff the items, but it's kinda obvious if you really look at the pictures. Some of the stuff I've ordered (a bag from asos' own brand) was made to look really rigid and upright on the pic, but when it arrived, was made from the thinnest material, and didn't look like it did on the site. It was cheap-ish ) £25 but I still expected something a lil better.(Original post by cloud04)

Good points:
cheap / free delivery + returns
good cummunication / customer service (ie: replies to customers' emails and questions
good item descriptions (dimensions of bags, fabrics used, etc) - info on models' height works well for knowing how the item will fit
good photos that show the item from every angle
quick website uploading times
easy navigation round the site (with search boxes)
good competitive prices (not necessarily cheap on everything, but I don't want to spend £70 on a PB bag that costs £60 somewhere else)
NUS discount
lots of choice
Bad points:
More or less the opposite of above.
Also - you can't really get a feel for the fabric when shopping online, or know how the item will fit.
Some websites are unreliable.
hope that helps somewhat!

Re: CLOTHES WEBSITE - need to up their gamegosh you been so much help thank you, but i got another question lolol how can you know whether you can trust a website or not by how can you tell the difference and what can the web page do to like reassure you that it is a safe trust worthy place to purchase your order??(Original post by PinkFriday)
