Anyone with medical/nutritional/health knowledge, can you tell me why....

... why it could be that if a person with average BMI restricts their calories to 200 a day, for 7 days, they do not loose any weight? Could they still be loosing fat but staying the same weight for other reasons? Genuinely interested - thanks xx

I'm betting that if they did something like that they would be drinking a lot at the same time to avoid hunger pangs?

The body will grip onto ANYTHING. Including water weight.

Oh, and obligatory 'this is not healthy'. I say obligatory for the simple reason that I think we all realise that anyway.

Hmmm, maybe water weight. I think they are drinking lots of diet coke.
