GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?
Discussion for A-Level students and for those choosing their A-Level subjects.

Re: GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?Yea that's the plan hopefully!(Original post by Articaaa)
So you will only learn 4 at school?
Choose Chemistry as your fourth then because it is considered the hardest Science.

Chemistry isn't 'hard' (I've read the AS book), it's just a lot of calculations and memorizing quite a bit. Understanding the actual concepts isn't that demanding to be honest. -
Re: GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?I'd recommend Maths over Physics if that is the options you have for the last block. You'll learn a lot more content in Maths which you can apply to other fields in comparison to Physics. However, Physics is more applied so it tends to be a bit more interesting to most people.(Original post by Crazy Lady!!!)
I'm thinking of:
Spanish geography history and maths
Or
Spanish geography history and physics -
Re: GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?Sorry to blow your bubble but most people take 4 AS anyways(Original post by thegiantinfinity)
I'm taking 4 subjects - Physical, Education, Design, Technology. Most people take 3 but I'm different.
Afterwards, in Year 13, they cut down to 3.

Chemistry wasn't my first choice anyway.

Re: GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?I love programming. It isn't offered in my school though(Original post by Jedicake)
Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Economics and Computing.
I seem to be the only one doing Computing nowadays.
Oh well, I've been a programmer for a long time so it should come naturally.

My school only let us take the infamous OCR Salters... *cue dirge* -
Re: GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?A-Levels are exciting because there is no more Citizenship for me. It's not exciting because I have to self-study two A-Levels ;((Original post by Lily Academia)
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and English Literature.
Can't wait really. Which is a bit sad, to say the very least

Re: GCSE Students - What subjects will you take for A-Levels?Edexcel. Apparently Edexcel is harder than OCR. That's the general opinion of sixth formers I've talked to.(Original post by Lily Academia)
